Rachel Webb studied classical violin since 4 and has played piano her entire life. She majored in Violin Performance and Music Composition at Converse College in South Carolina, studied in the Independent Artist program at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, and studied Music Pedagogy at the University of Stavanger, in Stavanger, Norway. Named “Best New Artist” at 2009 Ella Festival, Rachel is a singer/songwriter as well as a multi-instrumentalist. She has provided session work, including string arrangements, for over 10 professional recordings, and tries to get into the studio whenever she has a chance to work on new material. When she isn’t teaching, she plays bass and sings for Orlando’s kid’s indie rock group, “Mr. Richard and the Pound Hounds.”
